Heather Rugg is an ordained minister and experienced wedding officiant serving Lake Tahoe and Northern California. She creates ceremonies that are warm, personal, and tailored to each couple’s relationship, values, and vision for their day.

From intimate chapels and private estates to beaches, piers, vineyards, and mountain overlooks, Heather has officiated ceremonies in a wide variety of settings, and weather, throughout Northern California and the Lake Tahoe region.

Nevada & Destination Ceremonies:

Ceremonial weddings are available for couples who have completed their legal marriage separately. Legal Nevada ceremonies may also be available with advance notice, subject to Nevada officiant authorization requirements.

Each ceremony is thoughtfully guided and personalized to reflect your relationship, your values, and the experience you want to create.

Elopements &Intimate Ceremonies

$450 - $650

Best suited for smaller gatherings, private ceremonies, or couples seeking a more intimate experience.

Full Wedding Ceremony Packages:

Essential Wedding Ceremony

$650

For couples who want a polished ceremony without extensive customization. Includes your established ceremony framework personalized with names and selected details, the option to exchange personal vows, ceremony officiating, and marriage-license completion.

Personalized Wedding Ceremony

$750

Includes a planning consultation, a more customized ceremony reflecting the couple’s story, tone and preferences, vow guidance if desired, and optional elements such as a reading, sand ceremony or handfasting. Includes one round of ceremony revisions.

Personalized Ceremony + Rehearsal

$900

Everything in the personalized package, plus rehearsal attendance and guidance for ceremony flow, processional order, positioning and cues.

*Weekday and off-peak ceremonies are often available at the lower end of the range. Weekend and peak dates reflect higher demand.

Travel within the Sacramento area is included. Tahoe and destination ceremonies may include a flat travel fee based on location.

Booking & Payment

A 50% booking retainer reserves your ceremony date and is applied toward your total ceremony fee. The remaining balance is due 14-days prior to the wedding date. Couples are also welcome to pay their ceremony fee in full at the time of booking. *For a last-minute booking within 14-days, payment in full is due when booking.
